Semtech's Lora Technology Achieves Jinting Technology's Smart Home Equipment Line

Semtech Corporation, a leading provider of high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors products and advanced algorithms, today announced that the high-tech enterprise, which specializes in smart home and lifestyle products, is dedicated to integrating Semtech's LoRa devices with radio frequency Technology (LoRa technology) as its preferred platform for its Internet of Things (IoT) equipment.

YoSmart has developed a range of LoRa-based products, including Data Control Center (HUB) for smart homes, thermostats, sprinklers, door locks and smart sockets, all of which are energy efficient and environmentally friendly products. Smart thermostats can automatically adjust the temperature according to the owner's preferences to control the climate control equipment at home. The smart socket allows people to remotely turn on or off electronic devices (such as lamps, water heaters, humidifiers and water dispensers) via the phone. These Internet-connected devices using LoRa technology provide homeowners and property managers with the ability to control indoor climate and save energy.

LoRa technology's long-range, low-power features also reduce the cost of network infrastructure, and its unit cost and low cost of deployment of this feature, making things more easily accepted equipment, so that the use of various scenarios to get the category Rapid expansion.

"Our vision is to help family life become simple," said John Xu, chief technology officer at YoSmart. "Semtech's LoRa technology enables us to further realize our vision by launching related products and enabling our customers to live a smart life."

"LoRa technology is also suitable for small environments such as homes," said Mike Wong, vice president of marketing, Semtech's wireless and sensor products business, as its reputation for ultra-long-range coverage has been impressive. "It is designed to include the focus of data security, including the focus on the design of excellent performance, which is what the owner has been looking for - excellent performance, can provide data protection and let the owners feel at ease, and its price again acceptable."

YoSmart products are expected to land in the US electricity market later in 2017.

Key features of LoRa technology:

• Long distance: A single base station using LoRa technology provides deep penetration and indoor coverage in a dense urban environment, and can also be connected to sensors in rural areas of 15-30 miles or more.

Low power consumption: LoRaWAN protocol is specifically developed for low power consumption, can achieve unprecedented battery life, and some applications can even up to 20 years.

· Positioning: support for positioning applications, without the need for GPS or additional power consumption.

Low cost: LoRa technology reduces the initial investment and operating costs of the infrastructure and the cost of the terminal node sensor.

Open standards: LoRaWAN protocol to ensure the interoperability between applications, Internet of Things solutions providers and telecom operators can accelerate the introduction and deployment.
