On February 25, Reuters reported that Ericsson, a Swedish manufacturer of mobile network equipment, said today that it was acquiring the antenna and filter division of Kaislin Group in Germany to promote the development of its 5G product portfolio.
Ericsson said that Kaiserlin's sales last year were about 270 million euros ($306.5 million). The antenna and filter Division has about 4,000 skilled professionals who can complement Ericsson's internal capabilities.

Ericsson said the two companies had agreed not to disclose the purchase price. In addition to expanding Ericsson's antenna and filter portfolio, the acquisition would also provide important capabilities for the evolution of advanced radio network products.
Ericsson said it expects to complete the transaction in the third quarter of this year, to meet the usual terms of the transaction and obtain regulatory approval.
